📶 Improvements to PlotSnag offline mode

We’ve been working hard behind the scenes to bring some improvements to offline mode to make sure you get the best experience possible whilst out on site.

Today we have a manual feature in place meaning that you can always ensure to keep your data in sync with the cloud. With the upcoming changes this will be done automatically so you no longer need to run a sync when you return to wifi or signal after working remotely.

There’s a few things you need to know to make sure you avoid any loss of snag info before you upgrade.

1️⃣ First, make sure you regularly sync your data to the cloud (this is the part you will no longer have to do once the new version is available), but its important to make sure all snags are loaded into the cloud.

2️⃣ Head to your Apple & Google Store when the upgrade is available and upgrade the PlotSnag app.

3️⃣ If you encounter problems, complete a one time log out and log back in following the upgrade.

It’s been a busy month for PlotSnag thats for sure, here’s whats also coming up in the next upgrade…

👨‍💻 As well as offline mode, we’ve looked to improve layout in the webportal, helping you get to snag overviews quicker.

👨‍💻 Ability to view larger images taken of snags in app, making sure the picture you’ve taken is the right one for the job.

👨‍💻 Updated the snag capture form, allowing you to switch snag types at a later date, rather than deleting and starting again.

👨‍💻 We’re working on enhancing the traceability of all the snag reports that you send, so it’s easier to keep track of what has been sent, when it was sent and who it was sent to.
